Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Percolator: Having had it with "Drip" disposalable coffee makers I decided to try a perk pot like I remember from my childhood. I'm a cranky old guy but I can only praise the quality of this outstanding coffee pot. Now what might initally seem a down side is that it takes time to make the coffee. On my stove to bring to boil: 15 minutes, then turned down to perk for another 15 minutes. So in the morning here is what I do: set the timer to 30 minutes and go do something appropriate to early morning rising, keeping an eye on the approaching 15 min. mark. Once we starting getting a boil as evidenced by perks in the clear knob I turn down the heat to what I've found gives me the right amount of gentle perks. I let the dogs in and feed them, make toast, let the cat out. Try to remember just what it was my wife told me to do....and the timer bell rings.

Best Uses Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Percolator: I hated drip coffee makers. You can't clean them properly and coffee is disgusting. This perk makes great coffee but nothing beats my conical maker. It makes excellent coffee. You need to spend extra for whole beans and grind them yourself. I don't perk anymore I use this pot to boil water. This is a very nice percolator. But 'Bety' on chat told me in caps that the knob was glass...WELL-IT'S NOT!
