*Fantastic product. This is the only mug I could find to replace my "thermo" REI-brand mug. Made by same vendor.
Works wonderfully on trail. Kept ice cream frozen in it for solid 40 minutes.
Keeps coffee hot for long time too. (Not at same time)
The only drawback- If you put it in the microwave, it will warp/screw up.

This mug is very well insulated, yet fairly lightweight. The see=through construction and measuring graduations are wonderful. After a few months of heavy use, both of our mugs cracked on the inside layer, leaking liquids into the insulating chamber.

Still a decent product, expecially for the price.

Last backpacking trip my friend had one of these - she used it for measuring water, making tea/coffee/miso soup,taking pills - you name it. I had mega cup envy-had to have one. Way heavier than my titanium cook pot that I use for everything , but it sure is nice having a nice cup of some hot brew that isn't going to burn your lips off and won't cool off in 30 seconds.

I used one of these cups from another national outdoor store until it finally broke after ten years. (Hey, it IS plastic.) I duct taped the crack in the cup but the liquids were seeping in between the inner and outer walls, so when I got home I went back to where I got the original. The store no longer carried it, and I didn't like the other available choices. I came to Campmor to look at their choices and found my old cup with Campmor's logo now on it. I was very happy to find a replacement!

Having lost cups over the side, floating is important to me. An insulated mug is a must - I like my coffee hot. And they bounce!

I used one of these on a TransAm cycle tour, and it was great for measuring boiling water for oatmeal, for making tea...anything that involved hot water. The outside stays cool and the thing is indestructible.

The only concern I have is whether or not it contains BPA, though even if it does, for infrequent camping use, that would not be the end of the world. I wouldn't use it for every day use unless I was certain that it did not contain BPA.

My cup survived 16 years of Boy Scout camp outs. Gallons of of hot chocolate and tea. I used it as my faithful cup and dinner plate. The Scouts use to cringe as I added sausage and eggs to the oatmeal in my cup and stured it all together... then a rinse of hot water and chocolate drink mix. It was perfect for hamburger helper... and only one "dish" to wash. It has a string permanently attached to the handle. (we use the 3 dunk dishwashing method)

And daily use around the house. I don't know how it got the little crack starting in the lip and extending inside. I guess it's time to get another one. I miss my little cup. So many happy memories of our adventures together.
