Comments about GSI Outdoors Telescoping Spoon Backpacking Utensil:

I bought a pair of these spoons to use while caving. Cavers need really compact gear, even more so that backpackers, so these looked to be just the thing.

When they arrived, I found they have a sticker on the spoon part (not the handle) which contains a pinch hazard warning. The stickers do not peel off cleanly. There was a considerable amount of adhesive residue left behind.

I tried several things and wound up using Goof-Off to get the adhesive off. Unfortunately, it also attacked the plastic. The result is spoons which are unusable.

These spoons are also quite flimsy. Even without the adhesive problem, they would probably last only a few meals before breaking.

It's a good thing they were cheap because they are in the trash now.
