Presently planning two trips, one to Alaska and one to Labrador, both have serious mosquito and no see-um populations. The product material appears very light weight and seems like it could easily adhere to skin surfaces. Am I correct in concluding that the insects would still be able to bite through those areas where the material lays on the skin surface?? You would be correct, bugs can bit through the LOG HOUSE DESIGNS No-See-Um Bug Socks. You can use insect repellent on the netted socks to reduce the bugs from landing on the socks.Answered on 1/21/2011 by Steve from Campmor
