I think this works great but a word of caution - if you've scratched it and it is ever so slightly open, it can sting. I'm fine with it - my kids, not so much. Saves more for me, and they get the calamine.

any bite, any time of year, stops me from scratching, when the urge comes, I reach for it instead.Acts fast. Keep lid closed and tube upright or it could leak and then you don't have it when you need it. either that or carry a spare.
