This is how coffee is supposed to be made - HOT! It takes a while to get going - by no fault of its own, of course - but once the process starts, you're five minutes away from one of the best cups of coffee you'll ever have (assuming you're using decent coffee!)

Bought this to replace a stainless GSI percolator that I lost. It is lighter and the folding handles make it more compact. It does take longer to brew, but has less grounds in the coffee.

Had a bad rivet that seeped. Once it was done proper it was good. Perked well everytime.

This coffee pot was great. Perked quickly and poured well. Easy clean up inside and out. I just put a bit of dish soap on the bottom of the pot and around the outside about a third of the way up. The fire soot swished away with a sponge. This is the best perk coffe pot I've ever used at the campfire.

Purchased to use as single pot for boiling needs. Perfect for me because Coleman exponent dual-fuel stove nests inside with stuff bag around stove. I gutted coffee perk inards & removed plastic perk-cap and just use as a basic pot/lid. Bail and handles fold well and are durable. Not the lightest or most compact set up but it works for short trips, multiple people excursions or winter use when pulling sled.

It was of great use to me except for the fact it was difficult to clean the black soot off of it when I was done using it. Especially when you had little water to use for cleaning.
