As pots go, this is a good one. It is bucket size but lightweight and pretty durable. It is great for group backpacking. It has to be packed thoughtfully because of its size. I recommend either low in an internal frame pack (with stuff packed inside it) or, on an external frame, slipping it over a sleeping bag lashed to the bottom.

Cleanup is expedited if you rub a soap film on the outside before using it over a wood fire. The soot comes off easier that way. Stir constantly when cooking over a fuel stove, as the small burner area creates a hot spot that can burn food on to the pot--hard. Then you'll have to scape it off with a stone.

This is the big camping pot. Everything from large soups to washing dishes. Still light enough for extended canoe trips or larger group backpacking.

Used this pot to cook a big batch of pasta for Cub Scouts for dinner and many omelettes in a bag for breakfast. Size was perfect for a camp stove. Easy clean up. The 4 qt kettle size fits inside nicely. Nice to have the lid too.
