Stylish lightweight mountaineering glasses with a photo chromic lens and removable side shields. Ideal for all day use in the high mountains or skiing in the back country.Lens: The Alti Chromic X4 (photo chromic CR39) lens is a unique Julbo solution to the changes of light while climbing in the mountains. The lens changes its darkness in response to the intensity of the light passing through the lens. The range of change is from 87% to 95% visible light reduction or from category 3 to category 4. To the general user this is a difference range from a regular sunglass lens (cat 3) right up to a serious high altitude mountaineering lens (cat 4). The lens is extremely relaxing on the eye and always assures maximum protection under varying light conditions without effecting clarity. This unique lens makes the Advance ideal for all day wear in the mountains despite the transfer from rock to snow, cloud to blue skis, alpine start to bankers start. Frame and Temples: A lightweight frame, with a comfortable and moldable nose pad, keeps the glasses in position. Temples are straight enabling them to be easily put on or removed while wearing a hat or helmet. Temples are also moldable allowing for a custom fit. Removable side shields. Accessories: Comes with a hard case and retainer cord.
