Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: This has been my default hiking dinner on Grand Canyon hikes since 1999. I've tried a lot of them, but keep coming back to the Lasagne for filling flavor, high calorie count, and high protein ration. It will rehydrate cold but won't taste as good, and the last couple spoonfuls of sauce usually seem tasteless. But I've eaten many dozens of these, and I'll be eating them again.

Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: Cheesy and very filling; one of my family's favorites. Have liked all mountain house meals so far.

Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: I headed out for 8 days and 7 nights backing, loaded with Mountain House food. The first night I cooked up 1/2 package of the lasagna. Man, this stuff is delcious. I gobbled it out of my jetboil stove with my fork with a smile. I could not get the cheese off my fork. I cleaned the fork with my knife. I had cheese on my knife and my fork. I could not scrape it out of my jetboil cup. I had lasagna cheese with coffee, lunch and dinner for 4 more days until I made it to a lake. There, I scrubbed and scrubbed my utensils with water and coarse leaves to clean it. Bottom line, tastes great. Just beware, it sticks like glue to everything.

Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: This one has been a staple of my backpacking food for over ten years. It just doesn't get any better than this. I require adding a lot of salt to taste, but that's a preference. The perfect dinner when you've done a hard day's hike and really, really want pasta and meat sauce. Until they come up with a just-add-boiling-water pizza, this is my go-to dinner.

Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: This Lasagna and meat sauce was good tasting and had a nice mouth feel, including the sticky cheese I enjoy in homemade lasagna. By itself it is really not enough to fill two hungry backpackers - but prepare a pack of dehydrated peas and a dehydrated dessert and you have a satisfying meal. Wish we would have had a nice Italian wine to go with it...

Comments about Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce: For lightweight, dry camping, where water is scarce and you have to carry 3 gallons into the increasingly arid Utah outback, these flovorful mixes require no water to clean a pot, since they "cook" right in the packet, which you can fold up and carry with your trash.
