I used three of theses on a recent atv camping trip. Put one under the tent, one over my sleeping bag and a spare. Had to take the one off my bag, got to hot. Will be good for when it gets colder, and the bright orange one will be good for signaling. Recieved my order within 5 days, including a weekend and all was great, just the red one I ordered is blue.

One of the most useful items in my backpack. I keep it in an outside pocket and use it for:

sitting on, tent footprint, protection from afternoon rain, dropping backpack and gear while setting up camp, covering packs while in camp, insulating your backside while standing by the fire.

We moved to snow country and had no way heat the doghouse for our pit bull. I cut the blanket to put one piece under her and used velcro to line the top and sides of the doghouse. It works as well as a heater to keep her warm at night and does not require electricity. It is removable for summer.

Product has many uses. I have two one used for a foot print for the tent and one another for inside if i need. You get lost the silver side makes for a great sun mirror for locating (gives a good radar return if it is used to look for ya). Keeps you warm. Just use it to sit on or what ever you can think of. Packs down to a nice size.

This is a great survival and comfort product. I have used them for years winter camping where they function as ground cloths for tents and reflectors for campfires. In cool fall weather they make great insulation under a sleeping bag when using a hammock tent. I keep one in each vehicle I own for emergencies, but find they make good every day seat and carpet protectors when carrying sloppy, wet stuff. They easily rinse off. Since moving to AR where summers can have multiple 100+ days, I have used them as hanging curtains on the sunny side of my in-home shop/office. Keeping the shiny side towards the sun reduces the AC load and keeps the room many degrees cooler than it otherwise would be. They take a long time to wear out under normal usage. Although they are 4 times the cost of the simpler Mylar "emergency blanket", the fiber layer and grommets make it many times stronger and much more versatile, I highly recommend them.

I don't think I would want to use it as a "blanket", however they make the best shade cover you can buy for the money. Any time we need a quick cover to get out of the summer sun, the tarp feels like it drops the temp 30 degrees.
