Hey, the Tinker does have good steel! Some years ago, I conducted a "squirrel test" on one, and it was still reasonably sharp after skinning and field dressing 5 squirrels. The only down side is that sometimes the red handles come off or get loose.

I absolutely LOVE this knife. I've owned this model for almost 20 years and carry it literally every day. It's just the right size and just the right weight. It has the tools I need without all the unnecessary bells and whistles (and bulk) that I could never imagine needing. As previously mentioned, it can dull quicker than some knives, but it also sharpens quicker than some knives. It's just a fantastic knife overall.

I have carried a Tinker for years, and use it daily for a variety of purposes. Very handy, more compact than most, and very durable. I needed a new one because I forgot I had mine in my pocket when checking in at an airport. Does not hold a sharp edge as long as some more expensive knives, but is much more convenient to carry & use.
