Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: Used it on tent bottoms and to seal fishing waders. Works great.

Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: I used this product to seam seal a 10 person tent - it took some time (a few hours), but it was worth it. The tent stayed completely dry inside and was used for over a week during multiple downpours. I don't know how long the seam seal will last, but it does work efficiently after being recently applied. It also dries very quick (within 5 hours) and isn't sticky so the tent can be put away fast without having to leave it up overnight to dry.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: Ordered the product one day. Received the product the next day.

Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: Very easy to use. Not much if any of a odor.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: I used this to seal the seems on a large 16x10 family tent for car camping. Application was easy and the included small brush was perfect for that job. 1 jar was enough to do all the seems on the bottom half of that large tent. We haven't encountered rain yet, so I can't speak to the product's actual performance.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: This stuff works as promised. It's a good thing, too. Just went through a major, major thunderstorm on the Buffalo River with a very old tent and stayed quite dry.

Comments about Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3-10 oz.: this product works. unfortunately the old tent I used it on (18 yrs old) finally gave in. I have used spray on silicone and a fine mist penetrates. But this product works.... just takes time to apply. once on it did as advertised. it sealed the seams well.

Q:
I AM THINKING OF BUYING THE EQUINOX COATED NYLON TARP 10X12 SIZE THEY RECOMMEND TO SEAL THE SEAMS IS THIS THE PRODUCT RECOAT 3 THAT IS RECOMMENDED FOR THAT ? THANKS1 answer
A:
Yes, the Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat 3 would be a good choice for sealing the seams on the Equinox Tarp.Q:
I have water seeping through the tent walls and the seams. Will this product stop the seeping on the walls, and do I apply to the inside or on the outside.1 answer
A:
If the tent walls are coated then this will re coat the walls resolving the leakage. It will also seal the seams.Q:
I need to recoat the canvas portion of my pop up camper. Can I apply it on the outside? Will it withstand elements e.g. UV, rain, folding and some abrasion?1 answer
A:
This would not be recommended for coating cotton canvas. It will not allow the material to breath once coated, This product is meant for synthetic fabrics.Q:
Is this product thin enough that it could be put into a spray bottle and sprayed over the surface of the tent floor? If it was thin enough then this seems like it would be an easy way to apply it evenly. If it was too thick could you thin it with water then spray a couple of coats to make up for the thinning of the product? Just a thought.1 answer
A:
Relatively thin.Q:
My biviy sack polyurethane coating is flaking off. Do I need to and how do I remove the old stuff1 answer
A:
Remove as much of the loose flaking material as possible and then Coat the polyurethane ReCoat over top.Q:
I have a NF Rock 22 that's about 9 years old and the rain fly has 2 small holes in the top (Just found this out last week on the Allagash). Could I use the Seam sealer 3 as an adhesive and a small piece of 1.9 oz nylon fabric (21472) as a patch?1 answer
A:
Better to use kenyon type tape.Q:
My rain fly's original waterproof coating is getting tacky/slightly sticky. If I use this product, will it dry and cover/eliminate the sticky feel of the original fly? Do I need to remove the original damaged coating?1 answer
A:
Once you have the sticky fly open put talcum powder or baby powder over the entire sticky surface. Shack out and this will remove the stickiness.Q:
Is http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___80947?cm_vc=PDPZ2 (Kenyon Seam Sealer) better for sealing seams? Or is this the same stuff? I need a fair amount to seal seams on a new 14x10 tent. Is Recoat3 the stuff I should be using? No other site including Kenyon refers to this product as seam sealer and recoat3. I purchased it for the seams but am thinking it is designed for the tent fabric... Campmors modified name on this product may have pointed me in the wrong direction.1 answer
A:
This can be used to seal both the seams and recoating fabrics that have lost their waterproofingQ:
Is this the same as Seam Sealer 3, only in a larger bottle ?1 answer
A:
Recoat 3 is the same as seam sealer 3Q:
this product is ok for sealing seams of tent or for just the tent material ?1 answer
A:
The Kenyon Seam Sealer and Recoat can be used for recoating areas of the tent and the seams.
