The lid hass 3 positins (open, closed, off)but it will not rotate easily from one position to the next. I wll be returning it. I like everything else about it--it is similar to one I have had for almost 10 years

would not keep coffee hot, when closed it leaks, could not easily find open spot in dark car. My old Nissans worked great but you do not make them anymore. Would definitely not buy this product again.

It really keeps the coffee hot, and I LOVE the fact that you can DRINK FROM ANY SPOT (you don't have to "Find" the opeing to drink.

Third one I have purchased in 12 years. Works VERY well. The only problem is that the lid O ring wears out. Thermos has not responded to my query about where to buy just the O ring. Why would they? When it wears out you have to buy another mug. Still, a pretty good dear. One mug every 4 years and it gets used about 350 days a year.

Very good at maintaining temperature, not leaking when closed, and not sloshing out liquids when open.

However, it has a design flaw. There is a plastic ridge inside that the flange on the lid seals to. The underside of this ridge has a flat ledge that holds liquid when you clean the mug. Designing the underside to be angled instead of flat would have made the mug far easier to clean.

I've gotten used to it (lots of rinsing and shaking required), but if I could get a similarly high-performing mug without this problem ...

if it held hot water hotter for longer than "they" say (3 hours) it would be super nice. still good enough product. like desgin of lid. insulation could be better.

this thing keeps ice water icy for hours. much cheaper and better for the environment than getting a new bottle of bottled water out of the fridge every hour or two. well made. seal works well. appears to be holding up well although i have only handwashed it so not real hard use that way.
