It fills easily, is reasonably convenient to carry, and folds away compactly. I keep 2 on hand for times when electrical power and water are interrupted. Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: Good product. Works as described. Needs a second handle to be a GREAT product Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: The tank is used to add water to my RV. Pros

Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: I have used these Reliance flexible containers (various sizes) for decades. The spouts need to be duct taped in the closed position to prevent them from turning and leaking when the containers are transported. Thorns will easily puncture the containers, so be careful where you set them down. If placed on a picnic table, they will often slowly remold their shape and "crawl" over the side and fall onto the ground. Their big advantage is that the containers take up less and less space as the contents are used up. I would recommend them if the user understands their limitations; for example, always carry some of your water in rigid containers. Always pretest them each time you use them, since they will almost surely develop leaks over time. It is virtually impossible to patch them. Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: We obtained this product for our Scout Patrols to have their own individual water source during camping trips where we have no water source or have to walk a ways for potable water. The container folds flat for long term storage but be cautious to dry it before storage, and to clean it with a small solution of bleach and water prior to reuse. Pros

Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: Light weight, hard to carry when full. Sprung a leak somewhere in the plastic siding--not sure how that happened as it was new and not handled roughly. Pros

Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: Purchased 2 of these for a 3 day camping trip. During the trip they did what they were designed to do although one of them had a leaky spout right from the start and had to be left with the spout in a position higher than the water level to keep from draining. Had no other problems. The handle construction is minimal and I would not recommend carrying a full one by the handle only. It does do what it is intended for and is great for the price you pay. Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: Again I get one out of two that leaks. I used these many years ago. The developed leaks quickly. I thought by now this would have been fixed. It is not. Comments about Reliance 5 Gallon Fold-A-Carrier: works for me Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » |
