this is a good mug but not my favorite of other thermos/nissan mugs i have. i get tired of having to depress lever every sip. twice i have cross threaded the lid and gotten coffee down the shirt; my fault but still irritating. neat design, but i prefer either the flip sipper or screw in sipper so you can hold it easier when driving and not have to concentrate on holding the lever while sipping.

i bought this as a gift for my wife whose tea was always getting cold before she finished a mug. I first tried a cheap "thermal" mug but its double wall construction did not have a vacuum between the walls and her tea cooled quickly in it. The Nissan (that used to be Thermos) mug has a vacuum between the stainless steel double wall and that means great insulation and hot drinks. The design is also convenient with the lever to allow one to drink but otherwise to keep the liquid sealed. Somehow, there is a way for air to get into the mug when you take a drink so you aren't having problems getting to the liquid at the bottom of the mug. It is easy to clean, which is done by hand. Only drawback is that if the lid isn't screwed down tight, it leaks. There is some concern that the threads might strip but have not had any problems in the first month of continuous use. I would definitely buy this again for myself or as a gift.

I've had this mug in the past and love it. The best features are that it is easy to drink out of (the lip is not too thick) and the top screws on so there are never spills if it is tipped over. Love it!!

Great coffee cup. The only wish I would have is that they sold the lid, only, seperately. I have about four bottom halves, it's the top that I have to keep replacing, fortunately, not very often.

I use this cup every day. I start with tea in the morning which stays hot through the entire cup. I also use it in the car. It fits nicely in the cup holder and I can put in four ice cubes and a Mountain Dew that stay nice and cold for an hour or two.

This is my wife's favorite coffee mug. The lid is very spillproof, much more so than others we have tried, and it has a positive screw on lid that doesn't leak around the edges. It is well vacuum insulated so keeps liquids hot for a long time. The disadvantages are that the rubber holding piece wrapped around the middle tends to come unglued and gets loose. It should not be put in the dishwasher because that will make the rubber piece come off even sooner. This is more expensive than most similar vacuum travel mugs but the spill protection is worth it if you tend to set yours down and then kick it over.
