I did fill it with hot tap water and it was still hot the next morning. I feel this is going to work fine. Comments about Nissan 1.1 qt. Stainless Steel Vacuum Bottle: Used this bottle for the first time last week. Filled it with coffee at 6:30 pm and went coyote hunting all night in -20 F weather. Opened it several times during the night but my coffee was still hot... not warm... 10 hours later. Very impressive in those negative temperatures Pros

Comments about Nissan 1.1 qt. Stainless Steel Vacuum Bottle: MY ONLY THERMOS! We hike in Alaska (-12 degree Fahrenheit) weather and this thermos will keep our liquid hot for most of the day and it will NOT be cold even at the end of the day! We use it mostly for water and then mix up flavor when we pour it into the mug. I often use snow to mix with the water to cool it for drinking, so it extends the amount of warm liquid we get from the one thermos. I frquently use this thermos at home to store my boiled water so that I can make a hot drink during the day and not use the microwave or boil up a whole new batch just for a few sporadic hot cups during the day.
