excellent mini grill that fits inside of a fire ring or on top of the fire ring grill - lets you use either charcoal or wood fire to cook.

Food doesn;t fall trhough when cooking. Super easy to set up. Wish it had a carry bag since it gets real dirty from the fire and food. I use the box to transport it in the REI Wheelie Beast along with the rest of the campfire kitchen.

If you're using charcoal, be careful of not enough oxygen getting to the coals inside a fire ring. Don;t cover up too much of the surface with pots and pans. If it is on a fire ring grill and cooking with wood fire, that is not a concern at all.

A great accessory for the car camper.

Sturdy and useful but too small. It was only about 1/2 the size of the fire ring. I bought it so we wouldn't have to use the rusty grates campgrounds have for fire rings, but this was way too small for that. We didn't use it much. But it is well made and I'm sure we'll use it some other time.

I wanted to do some walk-in camping and knew I could afford to splurge on weight and comfort. This grill worked like a charm and seems as if it could withstand a direct hit from a 500 megaton nuke. Easy to clean and compact when folded. It is heavy but I counted that as a pro, not a con. Perfect size for cooking for two or three people.

Got this for a big group we were leading on a weekend trip. This handled a BBQ for 16 without any trouble. Definitely worth it, and I plan to take it along on many trips in the future. Performs exactly as advertised.

One of the main reasons for purchasing it was that you could fit a Coleman 533 dual fuel stove under the grill and cook something in a large pot or pan without the fear of the pot or pan tipping over, as oppose to sitting them on the stove, (small burner),itself.

We built a fire pit just for our grill. I was very lucky to be out with "Mr. Camper". If I were with anyone else it wouldn't have worked so well.
We cooked directly on it and also with pans. It worked great either way, but it works best if you let a good coal base build up prior to cooking.
