Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: I needed some stability for my knees. Have used other trekking poles but they won't fit my traveling luggage. Will be using it in Ireland and the UK in May/June 2012. Looking forward to many years of use.

Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: My Sherlock traveler staff spent all of June and July 2011 hiking the folllowing parks; Rocky Mt., Yellowstone, Glacier N.P. This staff was outstanding lightweight and compact. As a Scoutleader for the past thirty five years it is the best staff for the money. I wish I had one years ago. Please buy an extra rubber foot if you poke-around in alot of holes!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: I have drop foot and wear a brace. I use this hiking stick when I have to walk a lot especially over uneven ground. It is great. Far better than a cane. It is also very easy to take on trips since it folds.

Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: Tracks Staffs are without a doubt, some of the finest made and Made in the USA! They have a lifetime warranty. Pricey . . . . you get what you pay for. These are the well worth the money. I also have the Sherlock Staff (one piece) and they are absolutely awesome. I carry the compact in my backpack as a second stick or on less intense climbing hikes. I use the solid one piece for steeper climbs where I also may run into snow and ice. The rubber flex tip on the compact is nice, but it is difficult to pull off, without a nonslip glove on! [...]

Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: I have had this model for years and love it. I recently bought one for my spouse who is an amputee. He uses it on steep slopes when fishing from shore and on long hikes. It looks so much sportier than a cane and folds so easily he can leave it in the car for use anytime. The elastic wrist strap allows him to dangle the staff while doing activites where he needs to use both hands. This is the most compact model I have seen and that makes it easy to pack in any suitcase.

Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: My wife and I were going to Scotland and needed hiking staffs that would fit into a carry-on bag. I tried one from Hammacher that was less expensive, but it was way too flimsy. These worked fine, although a little pricey. Great for uneven terrain.
Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about Tracks Compact Travel Staff: Single stick good for long non-technical day hikes. Resaonably strong and stiff. Extends to a long length. Had my first one for many years before it finally gave out. Extremely portable and folds up very short and packable.
