height of grill can be adjusted so food is closer to charcoal, so you don't need as much charcoal to cook small one or two person meals. probably wouldn't backpack this grill, but small size is great for canoe / kayak / car camping.

I bought this because I wanted a smaller, lightweight option for quick packing trips so I could leave the heavy duty and gas at home.[...]That being said, I've really enjoyed it so far.I love how lightweight it is and was big enough to handle 4+ large, extra thick hamburgers for dinner with room to spare and sturdy enough to use a wok pan on for breakfast.I knew the downfalls of this little grill, I did my research online everywhere before buying.I wanted something tiny, charcoal, lightweight and compact and this certainly fit the bill.I would buy it again in an instant, no regrets.I kept the box to store it in when not in use because I am very picky about caring for my equipment and predict I will be using this for years to come. If you are overly rough, abusive and careless with your equipment, I'd look at other options.Its also great to store in the car, box slides right under the seat for the the spur of the moment cook out when the mood hits away from home.Really, this grill is a win win all around.
