I used this while staying in hostels for a week, and it was very convenient. I dried myself and my hair after a shower each day, and it soaked up more than a regular towel, but was always dry by the next morning (usually sooner). I laundered it once at home before leaving, and I found it was plenty soft enough to use, even against sensitive skin. I also used this to help my other laundry dry more quickly. I wrapped it around my clothes and squeezed gently to soak up some of the water - no lint left behind!

Only drawbacks: The medium is not big enough to sub for a real bath towel. You can't wrap it around yourself to cover up, and it doesn't stay in place when wrapped around your hair. It seemed to make my hair extra frizzy, also. Of course, these things didn't matter too much when traveling.
