I do not like the fact I must use MSR ISOPRO only. So I purchacd a stove that cost about a fourth of the cost and found it works just as good as this over priced item.

Comments about MSR Microrocket Stove: This is a great stove for any backpacker! It is really small and lightweight. I have taken it out a couple of times now and had no issues with the flame or heat. Boils a litre of water in about 3.5 minutes where I am. Displaying reviews 1-2 |

Q:
What kind of conditions will this stove handle? e.g. wind, temperature, altitude1 answer
A:
You would want a wind screen for wind or cook on the leeward side of oncoming wind. The cool thing about isobutan is that the higher in elevation you are the colder you can use the stove in. This said if the temperature is below 20 F in lower altitudes you would want to keep the fuel canister warm otherwise the stove may not work. At higher elevations like 6-8 thousand meters, think Denali, Andes and the Himalayas, the isobutan will work at colder temperatures due to the lower atmospheric pressure.Q:
is it possible to purchase a replacement igniter for this stove? we have misplaced ours1 answer
A:
The Hand held Piezo igniter can be purchased from MSR. You can contact MSR at 800 527 1527
