is this just a bottle or does it contain fuel. if contains fuel what kind is it? trying to figure out what fuel supply i would use for a propane, isobutane or butane stove and where to get it.

It's just a bottle to hold liquid fuel. You're talking about gas (not liquid) fuel; different setup entirely. Gas fuel (propane, butane, etc.) is sold in the purpose-designed container at WalMart or just about any sporting goods store. Your stove info should tell you what fuel(s) it is designed for.
