Q:
Is this jacket temperature rated? I live in the northeast where the winters can get pretty cold. Just wondering what temps this jacket can be worn in. Thanks.1 answer
A:
This jacket would be comfortable in late fall, early spring and mild winter conditions, down to about freezing. Beyond that you would need signifiant layering to keep warm.Q:
I'm leaving for a thru hike on the AT in mid March starting in Georgie.... is this jacket right for the weather i should be expecting?1 answer
A:
I think the Women's All season jacket may not be the best for this purpose. Instead I would encourage you to think in terms of a rain jacket or shell with ventilation that can be used through out your through hike and layering garments that you can quickly take off and pack into your pack. Zip out liners need to be zippered out and their real purpose is to stay zipped in for a long period of time like the winter months. In a through hike you will be changing your clothing in relation to the climate you will be hiking in. So a couple of sets of good base layers and a micro fleece shirt and a heavier 200 fleece that you can alternate as well as use together in colder weather.Q:
Is there any reflective material on either part of this jacket?1 answer
A:
The White Sierra Women's All Seasons 4-in-1 Jacket does not have any reflective material on it.Q:
Is this jacket with the shell alone too warm for a summer downpour, 80-100F?1 answer
A:
The shell by itself would be too warm for high summer temperatures like 80-100 F.
