Comments about Campmor Men's Storm Venture Waterproof/Breathable Rain Parka:

I needed a shell for a sudden trip--not worth the top of the line, but had to work well at well below zero, Fahrenheit. This did the job perfectly. Easy to pack, slipped over my down stuff well, and kept the wind out. Didn't have the chance to test waterproofness, but could tell is breathed reasonably, the pit zips worked, and it held up.

I am sure the more expensive stuff is better. But for under $50, great value. And it was way more packable than the higher end things I looked at

Gave this to my boyfriend for our first backpacking trip together. Fit all the criteria, inexpensive, zipout pits, water proof, pockets for stuff. He loved it, even wore it out to work in a winter rainstorm.

Love everything about this jacket except, after having worn it extensively the ruberized inner coating is wearing off and the jacket is no longer waterproof, if this jacket had a lightweight mesh liner or similar it would be the ultimate lightweight raingear, when travelling the Storm Venture and a fleece jacket have never failed to provide comfort no matter what weather is encountered.

Note: I ordered one size up to avoid it being too short!

I needed a raincoat that I could pack up very easily and use instead of an umbrella. This raincoat is perfect for light to moderate hiking and casual use. It breathes as much as any raincoat. I'm not sure about the claim that it would fit in your back pocket, as I wasn't able to do this, but it's a great coat.
