Cons Best Uses Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: I bought this to ride my motorcycle in cold weather. I was disappointed at how flimsy it is although I should have known because of the price. The material is too thin so it isn't warm at all. I returned it and got a prompt refund.

Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: I work out doors and these work real well for what I do as a land surveyor. This is my 4th pair and I have been wearing these for over a decade. Wire fences and brush tend to put tears in the fabric but I repair them with iron on patches until they are covered with them, then I buy a new pair. They are very warm, inexpensive and exactly the right outerwear for what I do in the winter.

Best Uses Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: put them on once and sent them back. they were huge on me I wear a 30" x 32" which is what the small is suppose to fit. they seemed like they would have been a fine product other than the sizing.

Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: I lived in these pants for a month and a half hiking from Anchorage to Denali, Alaska in March and April. I was comfortable in the pants and they didn't tear at all when bushwhacking (there were no trails where I was). I later used them a year later snowboarding in breckonridge, CO and they did well and didn't rip, even through all my falls. Highly recommend them for cold weather backpacking and snowboarding.

Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: I bought this for my Ski Patrol candidate year, since the preference is full-length side zip pants for all skiers. I was looking for super cheap, since I knew I'd wear the heck out of them. I first bought a pair of mediums, which were so big, I couldn't even keep them up. So, I then bought a pair of smalls, and they had the oddest fit... the legs were so loose and bulky that I was often pulling them up while running the sled. Not so helpful. But, the weird thing was that the waist button would often pop open and the zipper would come down, so after I would fix the button and zipper, I'd have to deal with the dropping crotch, and then pull up the pants only to see that the button and zipper had come undone again. My physique is pretty well-proportioned; I don't have a large stomach or anything that usually requires special pants. I usually wear a medium to large. Also, the last time I washed them, one of the side zippers got off the track, and I haven't yet been able to remove it from the track to fix it. But, they did get me through half the season. So, I guess here is basically what I think: Price was great. I don't recommend these for hard skiing (or lots of skiing). They were warm. So, if you don't mind constantly messing with your pants as you're going down the mountain, these are the perfect pants for you! I wouldn't recommend this to a friend because I would prefer my friends be able to focus on the fun they should be having and not their pants.

Best Uses Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: The zippers in the pockets both broke with one day of use and the pockets ripped out with in the first two days of use. I will return the item. Other than that, it was warm and good for my needs.

Comments about Arctix Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants - 32" Inseam - Men's: I purchased thi this product for an "over pant" for when I ride my motorcycle. I start work at 5a.m. so it's cold on some mornings so these pants allow me to wear them over my work uniform and I'm off. The zippered legs allow me to be fully dressed with boots and still put them on. I really like the extra elastic cuff on the inside of the outer cuff for wind stop up the leg, that was a nice surprise. There is a layer of protective material at the cuff on the inner part of the leg, that's a nice touch. They are lightweight so be careful, their ruggedness will tell as time goes on. I will use this pair to pattern what I'm looking for in a super rugged motorcycle pant. For now these are just fine. Highly recommended.

Q:
I wear size 42" jeans. Planning on wearing these over jeans and thermals on an upcoming ski trip. Would you recommend the XXL and adjust the waist? Does the waist adjust inward as well as outward?1 answer
A:
These pants are cut to accomodate some layering so under normal circumstances a 42 " waist should fit an xlarge comfortably. If your combined layers of jeans and long johns are extra bulky, then you may want to go up to an xxl.Q:
Is the waist adjustable? Does it have elastic or velcro or buttons to take up some slack in waist?1 answer
A:
There is an adjustable Velcro tag that is connected through the waist that you can adjust to the proper setting.Q:
What is the weight of these pants?1 answer
A:
A medium weighs 1.7 lbs.Q:
Is this a durable fabric? Picture shows a slight sheen leading me to believe it is a thinner less durable fabric. If so, can you recommend a pant with a more durable fabric that still has full zippered legs?1 answer
A:
This is not the most durable pant. The only more durable side zip pants we have would not be insulated. They would be shells that you would need to layer under to provide warmth.Q:
Will these pants keep you dry in rain? I'd like to get something I can use for snow sports and hiking.1 answer
A:
No these pants will not keep you dry in rain. You need to look for a mountain pant like Mountain Hardwear Men's Pinnacle Rain PantsQ:
Is the sizing chart accurate? I am 6'4" with a 33" waist and 35"-36" inseam. It doesn't seem like any size has an inseam anywhere near long enough for me let alone the size that would fit my waist.1 answer
A:
These are cut for average size men. You would probably have to seek out a tall size for your height.Q:
Are there belt loops on these pants and if so how many?1 answer
A:
Arctix Men's Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants has 5 belt loops.Q:
Are there any pockets? Is there a zippered fly?1 answer
A:
Arctix Men's Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants has 2 front zipped pockets and a zippered flyQ:
Do the zippers allow the pant to be taken off or are they for ventilation?. Do you have a store where i can see this more closely.1 answer
A:
Arctix Arctix Men's Insulated Side Zip Snowsports Pants has Full side zippers ensure easy off and on.. The Campmor store is in Paramus NJ.
