Wore this on a winter night paddle. Air was 27 degrees, not sure
of the water temp, but it was cold! With a thin micro fleece, long sleeved
shirt under it, it was the perfect paddle jacket. Kept me warm and
dry. We paddled for two hours, not a drop of water got through.
Paired with glacier gloves and REI splash pants.
Good jacket, reasonable priced. Very happy with this purchase.

This garment is just about perfect for cold/wet weather. I love the neoprene neck closure, which is comfortable all day long. The hood works great and I wonder why they don't come on more dry & semidry tops.

Got caught in a terrible downpour while paddeling. Kept me dry as a bone. The hood is worth it. My paddeling buddy didn't have one with a hood and got drenchted. Glad I read the reviews and got the next larger size.

This is a high quality garment and I got it at the best price through Campmor. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the sizing. I am 5'10" tall and weight 220 pounds. Normally I would take an XL in a similar garment but had to order a XXL to have it fit me and there is still little room for extra garments underneath. Good product but you need at least a full size larger than you would normally wear.

Jacket keeps you dry and hood is great when needed. However, hood should be removable or actually tuck away when not needed. Overall good quality.

Used by me for Kayak fishing. expected a cold day for my first use. It ended up being 73 degrees. That being said, I didn't swelter or lose too much weight. I was a little warm but the moisture evaporated as advertised. I should have been drenched actually, I'm pretty impressed.

I am sea kayaking in Lake Superior and I needed a paddling coat for the few months of the year the water is around 65 degrees and not the usual 35 degrees. The first time out I paddled for about 2 hours straight in 75 degree air temp and didn't feel uncomfortable at all so the fabric is very breathable. I did a test immersion and the gaskets held with only a little water seeping in under the waist drawstring but this is expected and acceptable. I am very happy with this paddling jacket
