      Comments about MSR Titan Kettle:

I have used this kettle for six years and it doesn't have a dent. I have cooked dry rice in it, no sticking. I boil water for coffee and it pours with the lid on, perfectly. It is very light, very strong. And of course, the melting temp of titanium is three thousand degrees fahrenheit! This is the best backpacking kettle I have ever owned.

I added a hand-made 'super cat' alcohol stove and wind screen to this pot for a camp kitchen that weighs in at less than 6 oz. You wouldn't even know you are carrying it!

        Comments about MSR Titan Kettle:

My wife special ordered the MSR Titan Kettle for me years ago, and I have enjoyed using it on countless backpacking trips. It is still in nearly perfect condition, even after heating water directly over both stoves and open fires. Foolproof way to boil water. It is a bit messy when pouring (drips down front). In a pinch it could function as a cook pot, but I've only used it as such a couple of times.

Would this kettle be large enough to heat a mre in.

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

The diameter of the pot is 4.75 " and the height is 3.5 ". Providing the MRE is less than that in size then it would fit. Since we do not sell that product(MRE) I am unfamiliar with the dimensions.
