I bought these bags for my food and figured I would also bear bag when I went hiking on the Benton Mackaye trail in Georgia. I could NOT bear bag (no limbs!) and was scared to death that my food stuffed in my pack would bring all sorts of critters into camp. I shouldn't have worried. These bags were awesome. Nothing visited, nothing scary or detrimental, at least. I had major peace of mind with these babies. It was the first time I camped, I was all by myself and I felt so totally safe because of them!

We used these on the Appalachian Trail this summer and never once had a mouse even attempt to get into them. They seem to do the job very well, were easy to use and very lightweight. I have already given one away to a fellow hiker who had mouse problems and he didn't have any issues after that!

I have been using these for a few years, love them in the woods, you just have to be careful with the zipper; don't fold the saks!
