Best Uses Comments about Terramar Thermawool Superfine Merino Wool Midweight Pants - Men's: I wore these probably 50-80 times and washed them (carefully by hand) maybe 7 or 8 times. Backpacking, walking around town, relaxing, any time it was chilly.

Best Uses Comments about Terramar Thermawool Superfine Merino Wool Midweight Pants - Men's: I purchased one of the more expensive brands recently and have used the Teremars on a couple extended canoe trips and camping. So here is my honest review based on some experience and brand camparison. Hope this helps for those trying to gear up the next trip because i always value a good review.

Comments about Terramar Thermawool Superfine Merino Wool Midweight Pants - Men's: Product is okay. A bit cheaper fabrication than I was expecting. Definitely not top of the line. Thermals are a bit thin and not the softest as merino wool goes. If price is the goal these work. Otherwise, I would go with a higher end product. It is worth it in the long run.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Terramar Thermawool Superfine Merino Wool Midweight Pants - Men's: This is a great alternative to SmartWool. At first, it kind of itched but after two washes, it became soft and the itch was gone. Item did not shrink in the wash and colors didn't run. It kept me warm with just jeans down to 30F degrees. Using it with a fleece mid-layer and shell pants kept me warm down to 0F. Controlled odors well - tested it for 3 days without washing. Awesome product.

Best Uses Comments about Terramar Thermawool Superfine Merino Wool Midweight Pants - Men's: Got these for hunting, I generally sit more than I move around. If I sat for more than 20-30 minutes I started feeling chilled and the temps weren't even below 20 degrees. My light-weight polypro longjohns work better & they are several years old.

How would these hold up to the abrasion created by riding a bicycle for a few hours at a time? Would synthetic be better for this purpose?1 answer

Probably the durability is not too different between synthetic and wool. Laundering is what weakens fabrics. Launder cold line dry to preserve durability.Q:
Do these shrink after washing?1 answer
A:
The Thermawool will not shrink if you wash cold line dryQ:
Not sure what size to get. I'm currently wearing size 38 waist in jeans which fit tight after a wash but then loosen up after a while. Guess I'm on the fence of either L or XL. I was told that looser is better then tighter in cold weather. Anyway, will these shrink after a wash? What size would be best?1 answer
A:
If you are a size 38 waist, a size large should be fine for you.Q:
How does the Geo Fleece compare with the Thermawool in terms of warmth, weight, "dryability" and warmth while wet?1 answer
A:
The geofleece is a thicker long under wear and would dry quicker due to the 100 % synthetic fiber content. As for durability both the thermawool and the geofleece are very durable. Wool will reatin warmth when wet as well as a synthetic fiber.Q:
I'm a size 34 waist and usually a size 34/34 in pants fit great. Not sure if 34 is my actual inseam or not. What size would you recommend? Can I expect them to shrink at bit?1 answer
A:
A 34" waist is the top end of the M range. The inseam for a M is 30".
