I would say at least from the 1980's if not earlier. It fit perfectly in this case. Much more secure than the old box I had it in. There is even room for spare mantles. Pros

Comments about Coleman Hard Lantern Case Powerhouse Lantern 295: This is a simple and easy to use case for my Lantern. It holds the unit firmly in the base. The base also has room to store spare mantles and matches under the lantern so they can always stay together. It can be a bit hard to snap closed but once you find the correct position it locks in securely and the lantern doesn't wobble inside the case.

Comments about Coleman Hard Lantern Case Powerhouse Lantern 295: I purchased a used Coleman 220F lantern for use in emergencies and needed a storage case. This case works perfectly. The lantern base fits snug in the case bottom and has room to store spare mantels, generator, wrench, and matches.
