Comments about GSI Outdoors 30 fl. oz. Java Press: I purchased this to take the place of the glass version we carry in our camp trailer, this is much more durable, and also delivers the equivalent of 6 cups from our drip style coffee maker at home.Although heavy to me to take packing, I'm sure others would disagree. I did notice flexing of the insulating cover during pouring, this was viewed at first as a problem but has never caused spilling, is actually a clever way to pour without adding weight (although I plan on trying banding at both points of the handle attachment)and once gotten used to, works fine as intended.Esspresso grind = perfect!

Comments about GSI Outdoors 30 fl. oz. Java Press: Greatest camping purchase... forget the tent and take this. I tend to get up before my wife and the liner keeps the coffee nice and warm for her. Makes enough coffee for two people. If their are more of you I'd go up to the next size.

Cons Best Uses
Comments about GSI Outdoors 30 fl. oz. Java Press: Not much heavier than a big mug; but you have to deal with the grounds in the bottom. Few grounds go past the plunger to end up in your cup. A luxury/indulgence on a backpack but justifiable for portaging.

Comments about GSI Outdoors 30 fl. oz. Java Press: This packs well, keeps the coffee warm, easy to clean and a life saver when it is cold and raining and you need your coffee. Much better coffee than making the traditional "camp Coffee" with all the grounds at the bottom.
