Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: Great things come in small packages. I don't really backpack and would have opted for the next size if I'd paid closer attention to the size. Still, foolproof design that seems durable. Nests inside the carafe for a neat little package. Just the right amount of java for a day with the Cub Scouts, but none to share with the other parents.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: Neatly fits inside each other. Do wish the 'push-rod' was a tad shorter to allow for my coffee container to nest inside the cup though. Other than that minor issue - I consider this a good backpacking tool for those that like a good cup of coffee and the cup becomes an insulated food bowl as well. Does more that one thing - Great !!!

Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: I used a coffee press for years to make my coffee for lunch and decided this is the way to go for camping. no watching a pot perculate on the stove and not boil over.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: I love this little french press. I also have the larger GSI french press (also great for multiple people) but use this little one for backpacking and solo camping. The insulated mug, sip cover, plunger, and screen nest really well into a very compact package, although you need to nest everything in a certain order for it to close. Another great GSI product.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: pack it in the suitcase for trips - light weight - makes two full mugs with no hassle - for us, the mug that comes with the press is not necessary
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press: It works great as a coffee press---also doubled for me as a bowl. I used the cup to drink out of, removed the press and used the larger cup as a bowl to eat out off. The insulated cover keeps liquid warrrm. Displaying reviews 1-6 |
