While certainly not a "must have" for the Tikka series of Petzl headlamps, I doubt there is a better way to store the headlamp when you're not using it. I owned my headlamp for several months before I ended up purchasing the pouch and never could figure out a good way to store it when I packed up for a backpacking trip. I'm somewhat particular about my gear and don't like to just toss everything in the pack and hope for the best; I've seen too many friends end up with damaged gear that way or dead batteries because their headlamp was accidentally turned on. This pouch solved that problem. It is very sturdy for the weight, the perfect size and able to be attached to a belt.
