Comments about US Divers Molokai Mask/Island Dry Jr. Snorkel Combo: My kids (5 and 12 years) both liked the mask. I used the snorkel and loved it - amazingly dry! It may be useful for the kids to practice so that they realize that when the snorkel closes to keep water out, they can't breathe. Then, when the top is exposed to air again, it is dry. My 5 year old wiggled and tipped her head a lot at first, which made it seem harder.

What would you say are the main differences in terms of fit, age-appropriateness, quality, and construction between this snorkel/mask set and the US Divers Santa Cruz/Eco Dry Kids Snorkel Combo (Item #: 72564)? My son is tall but otherwise average girth for a 5 1/2-year-old. I like dry snorkel and have used one like this myself. I guess I'm mainly curious which of the two sets you feel is most likely going to fit his face and mouth the best. And which is most user-friendly for a 5-year-old whose only mask/snorkel experience is playing with mine in the bathtub. Or does it just make more sense to buy both and return the one that seems least likely to fit right? I am trying to figure out if this mask will fit my daughter. She is 4 years and 9 months old and standard sized face I would say.
If not, could you suggest a good alternative? It is important that she get a dry snorkel as well, I think, which is why I focused on this one.
We are overseas now and going to be in Vietnam and Thailand for a month and have one shot to order a mask and snorkel and have a friend bring it to us from USA so have to get the right one.
