If by sufficient you mean to protect you from UV damage it is designed to protect from UV rays. If you mean will it keep you warm in a heated pool in the winter if the temperatures are winter temps like 20-30 degrees F, I would say you would get significant thermal cooling and you will probably want to stay down in the water column and do exercises that can be done submerged.Answered on 12/7/2012 by Steve from Campmor
