The MSR Coyote Snow Picket is a great tool for building snow anchors. It has stood atop the world's highest peaks as well as in countless snowy playgrounds right here in North America. They are extruded from aircraft-grade heat-treated aluminum, which minimizes weight and maximizes strength. The shape of the picket was designed for strength and weight savings. The unique shapes put more area of the picket in contact with the snow than other designs. Multiple holes in the picket reduce weight, and allow for many placement options. One hole is in the exact center of the picket, and the others are spaced every 3 inches.
