Its quality and fit are poor. The elastic waist and belt are weak and insubstantial. When tightened it did not hold, and I am still the same size as when I bought the older ones.

So I bought 3 more pair this year, sadly Columbia has changed the weight and density of the belt, making it very difficult to stay with the present fastener. I would recommend not buying this model of shorts until they change the belt back,
