Am hoping that the rock guards further up the sides will allow the paddles to last longer. When you wear the finish of a wood paddle water will destroy it. If you have a aluminium and plastic paddle these are a real upgrade. Light weight and bent shaft mean you go father with less effort. Wide short blade works well in shallow water wear you can not get a beaver tail all the way in the water. NOT for those that use a "J" stroke. Get the straight shaft version for that.

It is nice, light and seems pretty durable. The grip fits well. It is a nice looking paddle with a good finish. I love paddling with a bent shaft, you really get a lot of drive from your paddle stroke. I would recommend this one for it good looks and fair price.

It feels great in your hands and is very durable. I like the resin tip feature. I also bought a Bending Branches Arrow paddle for my teenage son for the front. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have bought two of the bent ones.
