Cons Best Uses Comments about Tilley Original T3 Cotton Duck Hat: Buy it. I put 12 very difficult years on this hat. Outside in every possible condition. Fish, boat, sail, pack, garden, climb, work. Wind took it a few times sailing - no worries, it floats. I was given a competitors hat - o.k., not same caliber as the Tilley. The cotton duck, brass, and two wide chin straps are of no accident. Wide enough to provide shade, not too wide to flop in wind. Great for mountain ridge tops and sailboats. Can't possibly hurt it. Best I've seen, and I look.

I plan to buy a Tilley hat for each of my immediate family members; the T3 hat is that good! I have worn this hat while hiking, birdwatching, visiting Disney World, and kayaking, and it does not disappoint.

Comments about Tilley Original T3 Cotton Duck Hat: Have had four Tilley hats in 20 years - they don't last forever, but last longer than any other hats to wear for outdoor work - wide brim for sun protection on ears - the only thing different with this last hat is it is green under the brim, unlike all previous hats that were natural color - and that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the websites description. All in all - the best hat for me!
