Comments about Terramar ThermaSilk EC2 Quik-Dry Silk Lightweight Glove Liners:

Hard to find gloves! Extra Large are true to size. Just received my 6th & 7th pair. I reinforce the seams around the fingers before even the first wash as they tend to unravel and it is lots harder fixing after the seams have opened.

I purchased 2 pair of thermal gloves. The seam in one pair was open between the fingers. I had to repair it before wearing, not an easy job. The second pair was fine.

I planned to wear these indoors to help keep my hands warm. After a few hours' wear, they were frayed in places. I have since used these purely as liner gloves (inside other gloves), and they worked reasonably well. I don't think they'll hold up.

Work well as a "light" glove liner even though silk is supposed to be warm I need a heavier liner when the weather is in the 20 degree area. They do feel nice on the hand and the fingers and thumb are long for my hands.

Comments about Terramar ThermaSilk EC2 Quik-Dry Silk Lightweight Glove Liners:

I use these gloves as they were intended: as a liner within other gloves or mittens. They are fantastic. They are thin and lightweight, and slip easily into any pair of gloves or mittens I own. They add the extra warmth needed on these below zero days. They keep my fingers warm enough such that I can remove my outer gloves/mittens, complete some task that requires better dexterity, and my fingers remain warm during the task.

                      A:

Since midges bite with jaws as opposed to mosquitoes that uses a proboscis that can go between threads, these gloves would provide protection from midges not mosquitoes though.

                      A:

separating the fingers will make them colder. I would look for a liner mitt. Unfortunately all the mitts we carry of too bulky. There is a runners glove that has a mitt cover that may work.
