Comments about Osprey Talon 33 Internal Frame Pack: I really like this pack. I read other reviews on it, and decided it would be perfect for a two week pack. I'm very minimalist and most of my gear is trail running clothes. I've taken the pack to trail races and camping so far. Will be taking it to Peru June 2012 with two weeks of supplies. I find that the fit is exactly right for me. I am 112 lbs, with a 21 inch torso and I'm 5'2". I don't like things around my waist and this pack sits perfectly on my hips. I was able to adjust it just right. I think the straps could due a little more narrow along the top, but it's kind of a unisex pack so that was to be expected. The waist pockets are great, as well as the top and inner top pocket, but I wish it would have come with its rain cover( I purchased it separately).

Comments about Osprey Talon 33 Internal Frame Pack: This pack is fantastic. I use it primarily for day hikes 8-20 miles. I can carry all the gods I need and more. Food, water, water filter, first aid, fishing gear, raingear, a book, a couple beers, etc. I have yet to take this pack with me on an overnight adventure but it definitely is large enough to house a full (if ultralight) backpacking setup. I've also used it for traveling (in civilization) with success. You can pack a suit up in a small garment bag and fit that in with all the other stuff you need for a wedding or birthday party in another state that's just a little too far to drive to or whatever it is you're doing. I've used this bag for some shorter (30 miles) road rides that require a little hauling for mid ride activities as well. I plan on using it for mountain bike touring next year.

Comments about Osprey Talon 33 Internal Frame Pack: I bought this for an upcoming hike to Mt Kenya. I've biked and hiked with it and love it. It's very comfortable and light. I'm 5'9" female and have the sm/m and it's perfect.

Comments about Osprey Talon 33 Internal Frame Pack: This is a fantastic backpack. I use it for day hikes when I need a lot of stuff with me. I have used it for the occasional overnight, but only if it's warm out and I'm not going too far. It would be difficult to fit a full tent and sleeping bag/pad in this pack, but if you are a serious minimalist it could be done. I love how lightweight this backpack is. It's super comfortable, doesn't chafe, has lots of handy hidden pockets, and looks pretty snazzy too. Highly recommended.

Q:
Can this backpack be stripped? i.e. the top cover be removed for lighter weight?1 answer
A:
The Talon 33 has a sewn on lid, it can not be removed.Q:
if a compressed sleeping bag was placed at the bottom (17"x9" roughly) would there still be room for a few days worth of light traveling?1 answer
A:
This is probably too small for a few days of light traveling with a sleeping bag of 17" x 9". If you were to have a sleeping bag that was more of a 12 x7 stuff size that would work better.Q:
Is the outter material waterproof? Thanks.1 answer
A:
The outer material of the pack is water proof for rain. Any zipper or stitching will leak water.| Size | S-M: 24 x 10 x 7 in. M-L: 26 x 12 x 7 in. |
