Comments about Osprey Porter 65 Travel Pack:

I used the bag to backpack around Mexico. It wasn't that comfortable on your back for a long time but otherwise very practical and I would recommend it!

Comments about Osprey Porter 65 Travel Pack:

Using the product mainly for small trips and traveling in the airport. It's a great pack. My only problem is that it's really long so when you use it as a backpack it's huge. Beause of this and the way the main compartment is, you have to pack everything down to the bottom, because that's where everything goes. The picture makes it seems like a rounder, sized pack, but as I said, it's somewhat misleading, but nontheless, a great pack.

Is the Osprey Porter Pack compressible down to the 45 inch total linear dimensions maximum required by airlines for carry on baggage? Thanks.

Osprey Porter 65 Travel Pack as long as you do not fully pack the pack you can compress the depth to reduce the overall dimension. Though this will still be an airline call in the end.

Your better choice is the Osprey Porter 46. I've used the Porter 46 as a carry on for multiple airlines, with very little difficulty. Point of advice: try not to pack it too tightly, because some over-head airplane's compartments are smaller than others. On one Lufthansa flight (an Airbus A330-300) I had to scramble a bit under the watchful scrutiny of the flight attendants to readjust the packing job so that I could squeeze it into the over-head compartment. Other than that, I have had no problems. But again, the Porter 46 is right at the upper limit of allowable carry on bag size for most airlines.
