Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:

I like everything about this set except the fit of the lid/fry pan to the pot. It is fine in use, but when trying to pack up, there is not really anything to do with the pan. It fits so loosely on the pot that it slides right off, and I end up with a rattle in the pack. As a result, I pack it seperately. I wish they had utilized the pan handle to clamp it down.

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:

This is a good size for two people. The frying pan / lid could be used for cooking eggs or pancakes. If you're planning to fry up some fish they had better be small. The pot is quite strong, as well as lightweight. The handles seem to work well too, though the pot handle is likely to need an oven mit if you're cooking over a serious campstove (I used an alcohol burner).

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:

I purchased this product for backpacking and found it to be larger then expected. Even though it is very light weight, for the price I paid and considering it is titanium I expected better quality. The two pieces do not fit together tightly and after two uses the handle of the little "frying pan" is already floppy and won't stay folded down.

I suggest getting the mForm Pinnacle soloist by GSI for a better price and I was very pleased with it's quality, size and features.

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:

This is the PERFECT size for both car camping and multi-person backpacking. I used this kit to supplement my 900ml pot during our last car camping trip. It rained non-stop for an entire day, forcing us to cook off of our white gas stove. The Ti pots heated up VERY quickly, allowing me to conserve on fuel. I was able to cook 4 servings of chili in the pot and bannock bread using the pan/lid. Fresh piping hot bread was exactly what the doctor ordered on a cold, wet, and chilly Autumn day.

The only down side to them heating up so fast/easily is that you tend to burn things in them, when you first use them. The trick is to keep stirring and use a much lower burner setting than you may be accustomed to. If something burns, heat up some water and then scrub the pot/pan...makes life a lot easier. I chose the uncoated model because I heard the non-stick surfaces tended peel as a result of the heat.

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:

Only pot I use when out solo. After a lot of use the color has changed and the bottom kind'o bulges out a bit (which could be from use in campfires). That affects the stability of the pot on a burner with large contact surface. However, would not trade it for any other pot! The handles do get hot, especially when used in campfires BUT since the handles are not coated the good thing is, you CAN use this pot in a fire!

I would like to know will this pot hold the following fuel canisters?

                  1. http://cascadedesigns.com/msr/stoves/stove-accessories/msr-isopro/product 4oz or 8oz diameter

                  2. http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/HikingCamping/StovesFuel/PRD~4010-931/primus-230-butanepropane-canister.jsp 8oz

I have a GSI Soloist which fits both of those fuel canisters in the 4oz and 8oz sizing. I prefer that sizing as it appears to be a standard sizing then the Snow Peak/Jetboil smaller diameter canisters when travelling. I don't like having to use non standard sizes because if it does not fit in the cook set then that means it will take up bulk space in my pack then nesting in a cookset.

Please let me know if there is some 'play' if the canisters are in the cookset. For example with my GSI Soloist I get a little movement play with either a 4oz or 8oz so I used the insulating cozy that came with the mug to snug fit the canister into the pot without it rattling and scratching up/off the nonstick coating.

The iner pot is5.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter. I don't know what the measurements are for the Svea stove since we no longer carry it, but if it is smaller than that , then it will fit.
