Comments about Timex Expedition Digital Compass Sports Watch: I do a lot of hiking in the woods and kayaking in swamps and it is easy to get lost. This is a simple way to have a backup direction finder that works when you don't have GPS with you. It is a decent value though not what you'd call a particularly stylish watch. This is the second I've had; the last one lasted 8 years with many replacement bands and at least 2 batteries.

Comments about Timex Expedition Digital Compass Sports Watch: Like the watch part, but the compass hasn't proven that it can reliably find North yet. I don't know if it is due to the magnetic inclination not factored in but it it is off about 45 degrees.

Comments about Timex Expedition Digital Compass Sports Watch: This watch is great. I bought mine two years ago and its still going. I put a lot of stress on this watch through travel, swimming, pottery, etc. and the only things to break/wear out was the spring holding one end of the strap on and the end of the strap is slowly fraying. The spring broke during a game of freeze tag when it caught on something. Overall this watch is great for the price and has great longevity. Also the compass isn't too bad. Its not super accurate but it will give you a general idea of which ways which.
