Comments about Glacier Glove Dr Shade Long Billed Cap: I spend a LOT of time outdoors working in my yard and fishing. I have to wear a hat for sun protection, and have used others with drop flaps. Most of the flaps are not long enough to fully protect my neck on the sides and the back. This cap is much better than any I have used thus far, and the longer bill is a plus also. I don't particularly care for the chin strap, but it can be flipped on top of the bill, or simply cut off. I do love this hat.

Comments about Glacier Glove Dr Shade Long Billed Cap: I am very happy with this hat. I use it mostly for kayak fishing. I am on the water for up to 12 hours a day and the sun can do so much damage. This hat is the ticket! It is lightweight, vented on top for added cooling, soft, and most importantly, has a longer than normal bill to keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes. I love his feature and shopped specifically for it. The cape is an added benefit, and it has a chin-string to keep it from blowing off your head (how I lost my last fishing hat!). I had purchased a very similar hat last year for this purpose but it is now at the bottom of the ocean. This was a great find for a replacement. I actually like it better than the last one, and I think it cost less. I have no hesitation recommending this hat for anyone that wants a little sun protection while fishing, hiking, or during any other outdoor activity.

I normally wash this hat in the shower after I run. It dries quickly and is ready for my next run. The long bill and cloth has held up remarkably well over the last 4 years of washing twice a week.
