Comments about MSR Sweetwater Silt Stopper II: Haven't tried it with murky water but gave it a shot in-line in a First Need XLE using tap water. Attached it in serial between the intake and the XLE hose using the included 4in hose. Fits great. Just a little bit on the expensive side but it'll save me tons on replacing filter canisters for the XLE.

Comments about MSR Sweetwater Silt Stopper II: It was easy to connect to my First Need XL. I placed it after the First Need pre-filter. My first pump was disturbed murky lake water. While pumping I watched the silt stopper turn brownish. So I'm glad I used it.
