I am doing a bike tour through part of Alaska.
Do you know if I would need to buy extra detailed road maps of Alaska?
Asked on 7/20/2014 by JoshG from Brooklyn, NY
The Garmin GPSMAP 62st Handheld Mapping GPS will come with high level maps which may not show smaller roads like forest roads. You will probably want to down load more detailed maps.

Just wondering if the memory is 1.7 gigabytes before or after the preloaded map is installed. If it is before can you tell me how much is left. Thanks.
Asked on 3/18/2014 by Josh from Tell City IN
The Garmin GPSMAP 62st Handheld Mapping GPS would have 500 mb left over from the 1.7 gigabytes after the preloaded map is added.
