Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: Used this for two night Scout Camping. Worked great for that purpose. Sometimes a little difficult to adjust. Upper crossbar could be padded as our son was bumping his head on it.

Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: My son uses this backpack for scout campouts. We both like the fact that the pockets in the pack are all easy access. He can easily find his gear. No digging to the bottom of the back for anything.

Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: Purchased this pack for my son to use in Boy Scouts. So far it has performed remarkably both on the trail and at summer camp. It easily holds a weeks worth of clothes and gear. The rear panel access works much better than my top load Kelty. It is infinitely adjustable. Highly recommended both for anybody looking for a great all-around Scout pack as well as anybody looking to take up backpacking.

Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: Purchased this pack for my son who recently crossed over to Boy Scouts. Just completed a week-long campout and the pack was light and comfortable while still having the capacity to easily hold a week's worth of gear. One great feature is that the main gear compartment actually loads from the rear of the pack rather than from the top; a great feature which enables the removal of gear without having to remove all the contents of the pack. I would highly recommend this pack to anybody looking for a Scout pack that is big enough to hold all their gear and is highly adjustable as they grow.

Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: Bought this for my 12 year old Son - just crossed into boy Scouts. Pack seems well made (haven't hit the trail yet), we have done some "conditioning runs" of about 5 miles each with it, and it did well. Fair amount of adjustability, good zippers, ample storage. All in all, a good value - it would have been a better value if I'd have caught it on sale, but the pack itself is well done.

Comments about Jansport Scout External Frame Backpack: I have had 85lbs of gear and supplies pack in this bag and had no problems. It was used for a 5 day backpacker with the boyscouts.
