The ay I use these types of lights is to keep then on a sun lite window sill or counter top so that the lantern is always being charged. Once charged you get 6 hours of light. cloudy days will charge the lantern as well as sunny ones. Obviously the sunny days offer a higher quality of photovoltaic recharge.
