Yes it will leak. The lid is a sippy-top so that you can eat out of the bowl while drinking a hot liquid out of the mug. If you look closely at the picture, you will see a slot in the lid where you sip your coffee or what beverage you wish.Answered on 1/29/2012 by Brandon from PHX AZ
